International projects
Rotarian Deborah Simon of Espanola provided a briefing to members of the Carlsbad Rotary Club about projects in Guatemala. The Carlsbad Rotary Club works in partnership with clubs throughout New Mexico on projects that have provided clean water to villages, medical supplies to clinics, computers and books to classrooms and much more. Simon has travelled to Guatemala many times and in February she will be joined by our own Trisha Johnson.
Danny Fierro speaks to Rotary
Detective/Captain Danny Fierro of the Carlsbad Police Department was our speaker on January 6. Fierro is a 17-year veteran of the department and spoke about some of the new things happening to help improve communication and interaction with the community.
